GTA Zone Competition

The ORMTA Greater Toronto Area Zone Competitions is an annual event featuring some of the most talented advanced music students in the GTA. Advanced students of ORMTA members can compete in one of five competitions by first qualifying at their local branch audition. Winners of a Level A (even-numbered years only) or B (every year) Zone competition qualify to represent the GTA in the ORMTA Provincial Competitions.

Good luck to all of our Central Toronto Branch students who are are competing!

Download application forms and full rules here: http://ormta.org/gta-zone/

Please note: Central Toronto Branch will cover the application fee for our students at both the GTA Zone and Provincial levels.

In addition to this, an outstanding vocalist or instrumentalist (other than piano) who advances to the provincial level (Level B or Young Artist) may be eligible for the Fanny Levitan Scholarship to help cover the costs of their collaborative artist.

A list of accompanists may be found here.

NEW: Note that there is no Young Artist (Level A) competition at the Provincial level in odd-numbered years. However, we we will hold "Zone Artist" competitions for both instrumentalists and vocalists. Both Zone Artist winners will be invited to perform at the Winners' Recital.
