Film composer Erica Procunier introduced the tools and techniques of film composition in a workshop in November 2023. Teachers and students learned about the pillars of scoring, essential tools and scoring concepts and had a lot of great questions. Erica showed examples of some of her projects, completed and in process, and other film clips to demonstrate and discuss digital audio workstations, diegetic and non-diegetic music, impacts, and more. We are holding a follow-up workshop to continue exploring this fascinating topic in January 2024. Students and teachers are welcome to participate. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
